Distinguishing Hechizera, Santiguadora, and Curandera Traditions

The three Latin traditions of hechizera, santiguadora and curandera share many practices, beliefs and approaches. The differences are not as rigid and linear as what we are use to in the modern world.

Part of this, is because many times matriarchs in our families may borrow from each practices, or be skilled in techniques of each. This is the power of being Latina - we are able to create new culture that is informed by the various cultural influences that are inherent to being Latin.
