A Bookstore with a Mission
The Lit Bar is the brainchild of Noëlle Santos, a Bronx native who envisioned a space that would foster a love for reading while challenging the borough's reputation as a "book desert." At the time of its founding, the Bronx had gone years without a general-interest bookstore. The Lit Bar filled this void and become the borough’s only independent bookstore and a proud champion of local authors and diverse narratives.
